The WVU Council for Gender Equity, which works to promote the equality of womxn in the university and local community, is seeking applicants for membership. Applications will be accepted through March 31.
The Council membership is composed of faculty, staff, students, as well as community members of all sexes and genders. Founded in 1977, the Council has upheld a presence throughout a sustaining commitment to the advancement of women of WVU.
The Council is currently accepting applications for both full members and affiliate members for 2022-2023. Members meet monthly as a full council in addition to serving on at least one committee.
Election of new members will take place at the April meeting. New members will be notified of their status via email at the conclusion of April.
