The WVU Council for Gender Equity, which works to promote the equality of womxn in the university and local community, is seeking applicants for membership.

The Council membership is composed of faculty, staff, students, as well as community members of all sexes and genders. Founded in 1977, the Council has upheld a presence throughout a sustaining commitment to the advancement of women of WVU. 

APPLY TODAY

The Council is currently accepting applications for both full members and affiliate members for 2024-2025. Members meet monthly as a full council in addition to serving on at least one committee. Deadline to apply is Noevember 1, 2024.

Please complete this application to become a full council member. Applications to join the Council for Gender Equity will be open through November 1, 2024. Open to all WVU affialiates and community members.

Membership Requirements

As a member, you must commit to attend monthly meetings, serve on council committees, assist with council events, and other engagements.
